Job description
On behalf of our client, a growing international organisation operating across multiple jurisdictions, we are seeking an experienced SaaS Systems & Applications Manager.
This is a key position within a complex, multi-entity business, with responsibility for the management, reliability and continuous improvement of its core finance and enterprise applications, primarily Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OneStream.
Role Purpose:
The successful candidate will take ownership of the organisation’s key finance systems and act as the main link between Finance, IT, business users and external technology partners.
The role combines day-to-day system management with project delivery, process improvement, reporting and data governance. It requires someone who can understand business needs and translate them into practical system solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls and support effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365, OneStream and other relevant finance and corporate applications.
Oversee the daily operation, performance and reliability of the systems, ensuring that technical, data and interface issues are identified and resolved promptly.
Manage system configuration and governance, including legal-entity structures, master data, chart of accounts, access controls and user permissions.
Coordinate regular user-access reviews and ensure compliance with internal Finance, IT and information-security procedures.
Act as the main point of contact between Finance and IT for all systems-related matters.
Work closely with accounting teams, internal technology specialists and external providers to investigate and resolve system issues.
Review existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise workflows.
Gather and document business requirements and translate them into system configurations, improvements and technical deliverables.
Coordinate systems-related projects, including upgrades, new functionality, data migrations, integrations and implementations across new jurisdictions.
Support the configuration of local accounting, tax and VAT requirements when the organisation enters new markets.
Plan and carry out system testing, user-acceptance testing and validation of new or amended functionality.
Confirm that system developments meet agreed business, reporting and control requirements before implementation.
Support the integration of new entities or business units into the organisation’s finance and reporting environment.
Ipprove data flows between ERP, accounting, consolidation, reporting and other connected platforms.
Configure and enhance finance processes such as consolidations, intercompany accounting, automated reconciliations, accounting rules, approvals, workflows and internal controls.
Develop standard reports and dashboards for management, corporate and regulatory purposes.
Ensure that reports and system outputs are accurate, secure, appropriately controlled and suitable for their intended users.
Provide guidance, training and ongoing support to finance users and other stakeholders.
Support internal and external auditors with system-related information, controls and reporting requirements.
Maintain accurate system documentation and remain informed about new functionality, capabilities and relevant best practices.
Experience and Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable ERP or finance platform.
Experience with OneStream, Hyperion or another consolidation or Corporate Performance Management platform.
Practical experience in system administration, configuration, support and reporting.
A solid understanding of financial accounting, management reporting and consolidation processes.
Experience working with legal-entity structures, charts of accounts, intercompany transactions and group-reporting requirements.
Good knowledge of system integrations and data flows between ERP, accounting, reporting and consolidation platforms.
Experience gathering business requirements and delivering systems-related projects or changes.
A strong understanding of finance processes within an international, multi-entity or similarly complex organisation.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial and operational data.
Excellent organisational and project-management capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities and deadlines.
High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy and control.
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, IT and other business functions.
Ability to explain technical or systems-related matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
Desirable Qualifications:
A recognised accounting qualification.
Previous experience within a multinational or multi-entity organisation.
Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP or other recognised accounting standards.
Experience with databases, business-intelligence platforms or data-analysis tools.
OneStream certification or another relevant ERP, finance-systems or Corporate Performance Management certification.
