Junior Project Accountant

On behalf of our client we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team and support the Accounting Department, with a particular focus on financial monitoring, project budgeting, cost monitoring and financial analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Perform daily bookkeeping, accounting and administrative tasks.

• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts for real estate projects.

• Monitor project costs, expenses and cash flow against approved budgets.

• Prepare financial analyses comparing budgeted, forecasted and actual costs and income.

• Support the analysis of project profitability, margins and financial performance.

• Identify significant variances and discrepancies and provide relevant information to management.

• Collect, verify and analyze financial information from different departments, suppliers and external partners.

• Work closely with the Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and effective cost control.

• Support the team in assessing the financial impact of changes, additional costs and project-related decisions

REQUIREMENTS – SKILLS:

• A University degree in Accounting or a related field will be considered an additional qualification

• Previous experience in accounting, ideally with some exposure to real estate, construction or project-based environments will be considered an additional qualification

• Excellent knowledge of computers and ability to quickly learn internal systems

• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English (oral and written)

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with different teams.
