  • Monitor cloud consumption trends, identify cost anomalies, and highlight optimisation opportunities across compute, storage, networking, databases, and managed services.

  • Support the definition and enforcement of tagging standards, cost allocation models, and budget visibility controls.

  • Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Architecture, and Finance teams to improve cloud efficiency while maintaining performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Execute cost optimisation initiatives such as rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, storage lifecycle improvements, and cleanup of underutilised resources.

  • Prepare regular reporting on cloud spend, forecast trends, realised savings, and financial risks.

  • Support budgeting and planning cycles by providing usage analysis, spend projections, and variance insights.

  • Contribute to reporting automation and improvement of FinOps processes, controls, and governance practices.

  • Help promote cost-aware engineering practices through clear reporting, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Maintain traceability and supporting documentation for cloud financial controls, allocation logic, and reporting methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years in FinOps, cloud cost management, infrastructure operations, or technology finance.

  • Strong experience managing and optimising cloud spend in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

  • Solid understanding of cloud pricing models and infrastructure cost drivers across compute, storage, networking, databases, and containerised platforms.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cloud cost reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud cost management tools and reporting dashboards.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and optimisation opportunities.

  • Good understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and platform usage patterns.

  • Ability to work closely with Engineering, DevOps, Architecture, and Finance stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to translate technical consumption into clear financial insight.

  • Familiarity with tagging strategies, cost allocation practices, and cloud governance controls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred.
