On behalf of our client, a reputable and growing international organisation, we are seeking an experienced Director, Crew Services to provide strategic and operational leadership across key crew management functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities:
The Director, Crew Services is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Crew Management Officer and a permanent member of the Crew Management Leadership Team (CMLT), with overall responsibility for the HSEQ/Governance, Payroll/Tax, Industrial Relations, Project Management, and Crewing Systems departments.
The Director, Crew Services ensures that compliance with policies, processes and requirements both internal and external are exercised and upheld by the team, and that the team interacts effectively with all other CMLT members including other BU colleagues, with a clear focus on delivering performance excellence and contributing to the growth and success of Crew Management and the wider Group.
The Director, Crew Services is the senior executive representative of the Group in the assigned country, accountable for the full performance of Crew Management operations and for overall country leadership. The role ensures effective execution of Group strategy, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational alignment across all business units operating in the country.
As head of CM services, the Director, Crew Services provides leadership on governance, people matters, and external representation, safeguarding the Group’s interests while driving operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Duties:
Strategic Execution: Translate the Crew Management strategy into clear objectives for the HSEQ/Governance, Payroll/Tax, Industrial Relations, Project Management, and Crewing Systems departments, driving performance excellence and contributing directly to the growth and success of Crew Management.
Departmental Performance & Governance: Hold full accountability for the HSEQ/Governance, Payroll/Tax, Industrial Relations, Project Management, and Crewing Systems departments, ensuring objectives are met, qualitative and quantitative performance measures are set, and regular performance reviews are carried out with key stakeholders.
People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the HSEQ & Governance Director, General Manager Crewing Systems, Industrial Relations Manager, Head of Crew Payroll/Tax, and Global Crewing Integration & Projects Manager, building organizational capability and succession readiness across the team.
Culture and Values: Ensure that company values and culture are at the heart of everything the team does, modelling and reinforcing these behaviours across all departments.
CMLT Collaboration: As an active member of the CMLT, ensure the team interacts effectively and collaboratively with all other CMLT members, supporting an integrated, one-team approach to crew management.
Risk, Compliance & Quality: Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, company policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards across all assigned departments, monitoring performance against established KPIs and driving corrective action where required.
Financial Management and Control: Ensure financial management of shore organization, strong internal controls, and transparent reporting in line with Group standards.

Authority:
The position is authorized to direct the day-to-day operations and resources of the HSEQ/Governance, Payroll/Tax, Industrial Relations, Project Management, and Crewing Systems departments, and to make operational and financial decisions within these functions following the Authority matrix, policies, and standards of the organization.
Requirements Qualifications and Experiences:
Relevant University degree.
Extensive experience in crew or ship management, including leadership of large operational teams. Minimum 10 years
Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and crew management practices.
Proven ability to lead operational execution, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive service excellence.
