Boatyard / Crane Operator

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Boatyard / Crane Operator responsible for the safe hauling out, lifting, moving and launching of vessels, ensuring all lifting operations are carried out efficiently, professionally and in full compliance with marina procedures and safety regulations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and presentation across the marina and boatyard.

• Safely execute daily boatyard operations, schedules and routine inspections.

• Safely operate and assist with boat handling equipment (travel hoist, forklifts, boat movers, trailers) in accordance with procedures.

• Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, IMS policies and marina Terms & Conditions.

• Support planning and coordination of boatyard, slipway and trailer boat park operations for efficient service delivery.

• Ensure accurate administration and charging of all boatyard services within the marina management system.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with marina guests, residents and internal teams.

• Assist with implementation of the Annual Maintenance Plan and related record keeping.

• Carry out other duties as required to support smooth marina and boatyard operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in boatyard operations, vessel lifting or heavy equipment handling is an advantage.

• Competent in operating or assisting with travel hoist, crane, forklifts and other boat handling equipment.

• Good understanding of safe lifting procedures, slinging techniques and boat blocking methods.

• Proficient swimmer.

• In possession of relevant lifting or machinery operation certificates, or willing to obtain them.

• Strong awareness of health & safety regulations in a marine/industrial environment.

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Well-presented, professional and safety-focused attitude.

• Fluency in English and Greek, additional languages are an advantage.

Working Hours: Weekdays: 08:00–17:00

Weekends/Public holidays: Not required to work unless in an emergency.
